Dean College Bulldogs VS. Harlem Globe Trotters
                                                                   A Game for Charity

Massachusetts, Franklin, December 6th -Dean College Interim President Mark D. Boyce in collaboration with Herschend Family Entertainment have come together to bring the Dean college Bulldog's Basketball team against the Harlem Globe Trotters. On Friday December 6th at 7 PM, the bulldogs will go head-to-head with the Globe Trotters in a charity game. Admission for the event is 10 dollars and tickets are limited so get your as soon as possible.


Wanting to promote athletics at Dean college while also helping the community, Mark reached out to several different basketball programs to try and get a charity game going. After months of searching, the Dean college Bulldogs were able to secure a game with the Harlem Globe Trotters. After a brief discussion with the team's management the date and time of the game was decided and all of the profit from the game would go to funding breast cancer research. 


In this past year alone in a study done by The American Cancer Society estimated that nearly 310,720 Americans were diagnosed with breast cancer. With this game, both the Harlem Globe Trotters and Dean College hope to spread positivity and fun to the community of Franklin while also helping raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.

Thursdays @Boomers

                                                      This Post is for my Advanced Media Writing class           After a summer away, Dean College’s favorite late-night 21+ event Thursdays at Boomer’s has returned this fall semester. Located at the bottom of the Campus Center in the Atrium, Thursdays at Boomer’s starts at 7 PM and goes on till 10 PM. For a lot of students, campus events are a good way to unwind and relax after a long day of classes. Thursdays at Boomer’s provide students with a perfect opportunity to do that with various themes and events, as well as alcoholic beverages for those who are 21 and up.
